For a number of reasons, the Kansas City house was abandoned at the footer stage and a new site picked that won full solar exposure and better public access. Above, Locust Hill, as the house has been renamed, in the first of many versions that were to follow. This sketch, of "the wind duct house" was featured in Popular Science and Popular Mechanics in the late Seventies.
